Interchange Illawarra’s Weekdays Program runs during the week and includes heaps of fun activities and outings. In January and February we have bus trips, soap making, movie days, shopping, laser tag, ten pin bowling and much more.
We are super flexible and you can simply book in for the activities that you are interested in.

Interchange Illawarra runs fun social groups on Friday evenings from 6pm-9pm at Kiama and Wollongong.

The January/February program includes outings like visit to the cinema, swimming, ten pin bowling, Timezone, fishing, plus a tie dye day and much more.

Youth Group is a social program for young adults (ages 17 to 24) that runs on Saturdays from 10am-3pm. The January/February program includes outings like ten pin bowling, Timezone, train trip to Kiama, fishing and cooking. Enjoy your Saturday with friends!

Interchange Illawarra host regular Weekends Away (they are run as separate boys and girls weekends) based in Wollongong.
Interchange Illawarra Weekends Away offer short term accommodation to participants, with a group of their friends from the Social Support program.
Weekends Away give participants a chance to increase their indepedence, practice their daily living skills, spend time away from their primary carers and maintain their informal supports.
A usual Interchange Illawarra Weekend Away could look like this:
• Friday evening: Visit a local pub or club for dinner, some music and dancing.
• Saturday 10am-3pm: Join one of the Social Support group activities.
• Saturday evening: Help cook dinner if that’s your thing, then settle in for a movie night.
• Sunday morning: the group decides on an outing e.g. Sunday markets, a
scenic drive, cinema etc.

Interchange Illawarra Kemira Weekends Away offer short term accommodation to participants at Kemira House, Kanahooka, with a group of their friends from the Social Support program.
Kemira Weekends Away give participants a chance to increase their independence, practice their daily living skills, spend time away from their primary carers and maintain their informal supports.
The Kemira Weekends Away generally include dinner at a local club, several outings and some craft or cooking activities.

Interchange Illawarra offer short holidays to participants from our Social Support Groups.
We have some some amazing, fun locations booked in for 2023 like Cairns, The Entrance and Tasmania.
