Matty and his Support Worker, Adam, spent a successful day fishing together at Minnamurra.
It’s a bit difficult to remember right now, with all this rain around, but January did give us a few nice days, and Paul and Di were able to check out the seagulls at Shellharbour Village. Amy and Lindel did what girls like to do, eat gelato and go for a swim!
As well as getting out and about in the Community, there were lots of opportunities to practice life skills. Michael, and his Support Worker Colin, took over the kitchen and made a delicious meal together, congratulations on such a clean cooking space too! It’s not always easy to keep it all clean and organised when trying to cook with all those pots!
Something we were all very excited about earlier this year was Ben passing his Driver Knowledge test and getting his “L”s. We know that Ben is a big fan of F1 racing and imagine he’ll be looking forward to this weekend’s F1 race in Melbourne. No Burnouts Ben!!
Mel has been working hard and producing some absolutely stunning pieces of artwork. One very talented young lady, as you can see in the photo below and if you take a peak at our Facebook or Instagram page you can see her latest painting which is just beautiful!
Nathan loves collecting cans and taking them to the Return and Earn Depot. Thank you for helping our environment Nathan.
Maree, who supports Kylie, shared with us that one of Kylie’s interests is Jigsaw Puzzles. Kylie worked out a vase puzzle, with plenty of laughs along the way.
Jamie & Shane are brothers, and were supported at our Lake Illawarra Centre making tacos for Taco Tuesday.
Rowan took some time out to purchase a sausage sizzle and drink in support of those in flood areas. Rowan also attended the Lifeline Book Fair, getting there nice and early to avoid the rush! Rowan is a familiar face from our social media posts (might have something to do with his Mum being a Support Planner/Coordinator with Interchange – or maybe it’s because he’s just so photogenic!)
Keep those photos coming!
