The National Contact Centre (NCC) is calling people who self-manage their plan, and are entitled to a transport payment, to check they have the correct bank account details, email address, and date of birth.
If a participant is entitled to a transport payment, they must lodge the request in the myplace participant portal, so the Agency can reimburse the nominated bank account. The Agency does not have up-to-date details for many of these participants, so they are unable to process the payments.
We suggest that if you receive a phone call requesting these details, call them back on 1800 800 110 and share those details safely knowing you are speaking to the NDIS. You can also request that you update your details via email, instead of by phone.
There are so many scams about it’s never a good idea to tell anyone your personal details without confirming they are who they say they are!!
