Social Support

Interchange Illawarra offers Group Programs to people with disabilities where they can try new things, have fun and enjoy activities with their peers.

We have over two decades of experience running peer and social support programs. We match the right people together to assist people in making and maintaining friendships, especially during transition stages, e.g. high school to post school options such as work or day placement.

At Interchange, we foster a culture of everyday people doing everyday things with their peers.

Individual Respite Support

We develop Support Agreements in consultation with the person who has the disability and their carers and family. Support Agreements are tailored to meet individual needs and may include being linked with a volunteer/support worker to provide in-home and/or out-of-home support varying from a few hours to several overnights. The support will be available at times and places that best meet the needs of the person with a disability and their families/carers.

Benefits of Flexible Support Include

New experiences for everyone

A support network for the family carer
